I have not tried Blue Iris yet, but the install from the demo Active Webcam has a BTinstaller utility that may work for you.
I have emailed the seller of the card to see if they can provide details on the DVR card chipset They are all version 5. I just ran my installer again. At Camsecure we supply 3 x different models of capture card which use the BTa chip. Do any of you guys know anything about this type of chipset or card? The downside to these cards is that they are not Windows WDM compatable.

Shutdown and restart your computer and enjoy the updated driver, it is as simple as that. Why not dve a cheap 4 channel PCI card like a Swann that comes with software and drivers and is supported locally. It took me a while to remember that those settings are in the camera and accessible thru the web browser.
In the past i have set up 16 camera systems with windows XP using 4 pieces of 1 chip 4 input cards, framerate was about bt878s on each channel. By stuffed in forum PressF1.
It isn't full of features but by the sound of things will do what you want. This driver works on Windows 5. Jeff, I googled around last night and found several people saying the same thing that you are saying about only 1 input working. Only download this driver. Has never missed a beat since installing it. I think i tracked down the model DV-AC from ameta, and hopefully it is ok to put this link below to my card.
I am actually using blue iris as my software for over 2 years now. Consequently this card became very common in all sorts of systems and one of our best sellers for both Windows systems and Linux - especially Zoneminder boxes the world over. What makes this card really usefull is the fact that it can bt878s with Windows WDM drivers supplied which then allows the card to be used with 3rd party applications like Active Webcam, Argus DVR surveillance, iCatcher and GO etc.
Also this card is very well supported in the Linux and Zoneminder forums. DVR Surveillance software I don't know if it works on Windows or not, but I read an article about a guy who had this system installed and actually managed to nab the burglars with the help of recorded video footage that he showed to the cops.

You run it the first time and select remove all BT drivers and then run it again and choose install BT drivers. If your User Access Control Service UAC is running then you will have to accept of the driver and run the setup with administrative rights.
Hold off on getting a Geovision card though as I think they are all bt based.

The extra input feature is supported in Linux so you could feasibly extend the inputs on one of these cards in a Linux box but when comparing the cost of an additional card or compared to an 8 channel model to be reviewed next against the performance loss of expanding the channels its well woth the extra to add an extra card and benefit from the increased frame rate.
I have found that with BT cards, Windows can only use a limited number of channels, usually just one, sometimes For third party applications use the 4 channel single chip card or the 8 channel 8 chip high performance card. There can be some confusion whenusing certain models of these cards in modern PCI slots. However the must have a 5 volt slot top operate. I get 4 FPS on each camera when running 4 cameras. This PCB and backplate fits in the expansion slot opening at the back of the PC and plugs on to the expansion pins on the top of the card.
